Q. What is the advantage of MediPendant™?
A. MediPendant™ enables you to speak and listen directly through the pendant. There is no need to be near the base station.
Q. Will my phone bill increase?
A. No, the system dials a pre-programmed toll-free number
Q. What if there is a loss of power?
A. MediPendant™ has backup battery power which will be used if the power fails.
Q. Who answers the call when the button is pressed?
A. An emergency response call center Operator will answer the call. The Operators are EMT-Certified and trained to provide on-call medical assistance.
Q. What happens if I am unable to speak?
A. When the button is pressed, you will hear a voice recording letting you know that your call for help has gone through. Within seconds, an Operator will come on the line. If the Operator cannot hear you, help will be dispatched immediately!
Q. What is the warranty on MediPendant™?
A. Lifetime replacement warranty.
Q. Will the Operator have any of my personal information?
A. Yes. The Operator will see your personal information on his or her computer screen when your emergency call comes in. The information that you provide can be very important in assisting you and providing emergency responders with critical data. We will send you a Medical Data Form for you to fill out, in the box with your Medipendant™. This information is entirely voluntary on your part, but very important! You can preview and print the Subscriber Medical Data Form here if you wish. You should update this information anytime there is a change in your prescriptions or medical condition. Send us the updated form and we will update our records.
